Chuck Close made some really brilliant paintings by combining a bunch of little circle forms. I attempted to do this and it turned out super weird, but I accomplished my task.

13. Georgia O'Keefe Flower
Georgia O'Keefe was known for making very abstract paintings and we specifically studied her flower pieces. I had a rough start with mine, but I think my flower turned out pretty well.
12. Silk Screen Print
I named this piece *~smartphone~*. For this project, we had to draw a design and then make the print. I really liked my design and it took a while for me to devlop the screen print, but it finally worked. Painting over the screen wasn't too harder and I think the white acrylic looks neat.
10. Lino Print Black and White
I call this art piece THe ViRGiN MaRY. This time we all got bigger pieces of linoleum and our assignment was to create an image with a border. I really love the concept of this piece and the border. It took forever for me to press the acrylic onto the paper, but it turned out pretty decent. This was definitely a challenge I appreciated taking on.
9. Chop Print Logo
Our first actual art project was the chop print. Ms. Kury gave us little pieces of linleoum to carve our own little design into. Then, we used acrylic to paint over the linoleum and pressed the new image onto the paper. Lots of girls chose create their design with their initials and I did too! It was a fun little project and I definitely learned how to perservere through it.
8. Art History Timeline
For this assignment, we had to make a timeline of pieces of art that were made in the West and in another area. I chose Egypt as my other place of origin and I really enjoyed researching Egypt's art history. It was cool to see another culture in different mediums of art.
